- Biografia

Started working in TMN on October of 1998 as a RF Radio Planner and Optimiser, on GSM, DCS and GPRS technologies.

On the beginning of 2001, was invited to join 3G (UMTS) start-up team and after a few months decided to join RF Radio Planning and Optimization’ North Area team, responsible for P&O on GSM, DCS, GPRS, UMTS and HSDPA technologies.

On 2003 was invited to help on the elaboration of a proposal to cover the country with TETRA technology to give trunking digital communications services to Portuguese security and emergency ground force. This collaboration included a trip to Berlim to work with Motorola TETRA’s core team.

On 2006 was invited to integrate a “network and process optimization consulting to GUINETEL networks (Guiné-Bissau’ mobile operator)” made by a multidisciplinary team of TMN Headquarters. This collaboration included a work trip to Guinea-Bissau.

On 2007 was invited to integrate a “network and process optimization consulting to MTC networks (Namibia’ mobile operator)” made by a multidisciplinary team of TMN Headquarters. This collaboration included a work trip to Namibia.

Since 2007, joined Network Architecture Strategic department’ team, which main tasks are: look into (investigate) new technologies and analyze their benefits to PT/TMN’s networks, analyze and response to technical specifications and proposals, collaborate on Network Development Plan’s, manage (multidisciplinary) Projects/technological Pilots/Trials. Highlights: managed the following trials UMTS900, Femtocells and LTE(4G).

Five-years Degree (Before Bologna Declaration) in Electrical and Computer Engineering, from Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade Técnica de Lisboa – Portugal. Master Degree (After Bologna Declaration) Student in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Portuguese Engineering Association Member.
